Acupuncture is a treatment in which fine needles are inserted into certain sites in the body for therapeutic purposes.
It stimulates the sensory nerves under the skin and in the muscles. This results in the body producing natural pain relieving endorphins. A course of Acupuncture (4-6 sessions) usually creates longer lasting effects than a single treatment.
Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions including:
- chronic tension headaches
- joint pain/muscle pain
- chronic pain
- dental pain
Our physiotherapist Molly Smith is fully trained to use Acupuncture as part of her treatments. If you are interested in booking an appointment or finding out if it could help you, call us on 01740 629 501.
